Kiowa and Cheyenne appear in the entry after the Comanche. Paleo-Indian material is the oldest layer mentioned. Highway 207 runs through Claude between Post and Perryton. Homesteaders and townsites followed once that rail alignment opened markets. A fight on the Randall-Armstrong line is older than anything in your file. The Red River War of 1874 is the removal story in that entry, and it is older than any Claude scrap.
