Hords Creek in the south, Jim Ned in the north. San Jacinto is a biography, not a deposit.
Coleman County's seat is Coleman. No county sales tax is on the file. Two creeks leave this county toward Brown County and still do not make the books one file. The close is remote.
Jim Ned Creek and Hords Creek drain the north of Coleman County and meet on the way to Pecan Bayou in Brown County. The file stays here when the water leaves. Coleman Lake is on Jim Ned Creek. Hords Creek Lake is on Hords Creek. The town of Coleman is the seat. Robert M. Coleman, a signer of the Texas Declaration of Independence and an aide to Sam Houston at San Jacinto, is the namesake. The county was formed in 1858 from Brown County and Travis County, with organization begun in 1862 and finished in 1864.
The Colorado is the south boundary. Taylor and Callahan lie north, Runnels west, Brown east. The Santa Anna Mountains stand in the south with Speck Mountain and Parks Mountain. Grape Creek and Bull Creek feed the Colorado on that side.
Coleman can have a north-creek credit and a mountain-south credit in one week.
The July 2026 Comptroller figure used here shows no county sales tax for Coleman County. State sales tax is 6.25%. Where a city has its own rate, that city rate stacks on the state rate and any county rate. The combined cap is 8.25%. City rates are not listed on this page.
Business personal property renditions go to the county appraisal district for Coleman County. Put April 15 on the calendar. That district's form says which date controls the list.
The franchise report is due May 15. Texas has no state income tax. Neither date goes away because of that.
Invoice the north-creek job and the south-mountain job as two lines, even when both say the town of Coleman. Coleman Lake and Hords Creek Lake are different water. Put down the lake the paper names. Grape Creek and Bull Creek drain south to the Colorado, which is the other direction from those northern creeks. If the invoice names the town of Santa Anna, write the town. If the work was on the southern hills, say the Santa Anna Mountains, so the town and the hills do not share a caption.
Book a time if Jim Ned and the mountains are one line.
