Rio Bravo has no Laredo CTD line, and the trailer still needs a Texas name.

Webb is the whole metro. The quarter point is still a separate line.

You searched Laredo because a cleared trailer and a sales-tax return are not the same piece of paper. Laredo in Webb County is 8.25%, with Laredo CTD at 0.25%. Rio Bravo is 7.75% and has no transit line. Webb is the only county. There is no Laredo desk to sit at.

What runs Laredo

Webb is the whole delineation. Laredo is the seat, and no second county is attached. Webb County is central. The city page calls Laredo a major crossing for goods and for people moving between the United States and Mexico. It names border factories in the 1970s and 1980s and the North American Free Trade Agreement in the early 1990s. Laredo Army Air Field, later Laredo Air Force Base, closed in 1973. Webb's industry passage lists cross-border commerce, visitors, plants, natural gas, and oil, then the stock and crops: cattle, horses, goats, onions, melons, and nursery plants. Those crops sit inside Webb. They are not a reason to invent a second county.

Only the Laredo line carries Laredo CTD. That quarter point sits beside a 1.25% city column and a 0.5% county column, which is how the line meets the cap. Rio Bravo is a 1% city column, the same county column, an empty authority column, and 7.75%. El Cenizo meets the cap from a 1.5% city column with the authority column empty. Three mixes inside one county. The quarter point does not leak.

A busy crossing explains why money arrived. It does not choose among those three lines.

Running a business across Laredo

Counties: Webb (central).

One appraisal district. Webb County still gets its own business personal property rendition, due April 15 where the property sits. A yard in Laredo and a yard in Rio Bravo are not one list just because both are in Webb.

State sales tax is 6.25%. Laredo in Webb County is city tax 1.25%, county tax 0.5%, Laredo CTD 0.25%, combined 8.25%. Rio Bravo is city tax 1%, county tax 0.5%, no transit, combined 7.75%. El Cenizo is city tax 1.5%, county tax 0.5%, no transit, combined 8.25%. Those three are the Webb city rows used here. Each has a city number.

The franchise report is due May 15. Texas has no state income tax. The combined cap is 8.25%. The permit, not the bridge, sets the sales-tax calendar.

Working with Steven from Laredo

A cleared trailer can still lack a city. The city page's reason for the crossing is goods and people. Border factories and the North American Free Trade Agreement are named there, so a cross-border week is ordinary. The 1973 air-base closure is history, not a customer. None of that stamps Laredo CTD onto a Rio Bravo tape.

Keep the logistics binders shut and sort the yard tapes by the city printed on them: Laredo, Rio Bravo, or El Cenizo. Laredo CTD at 0.25% belongs beside the 1.25% city column and nowhere else. Rio Bravo's tape is 7.75% with that authority column empty. El Cenizo can still print the cap from a 1.5% city column and a blank authority column.

Make that sort while the Webb return is still open. Franchise paperwork is a different May 15 job. You can work the file from Laredo without a window at the bridge. Freight that has not crossed stays in inventory. A Nuevo Laredo chit stays out of Webb's city column. Onions still in the field are unsold, even in a week when the yards were slammed.

El Cenizo meeting 8.25% without Laredo CTD is the miss that looks harmless. Its city tax is 1.5% and its county tax is 0.5%, with no transit. Charging the Laredo quarter point on that slip invents an authority the file does not print. Rio Bravo is 7.75% because the city tax is 1% and there is no Laredo CTD. One appraisal district still covers Webb. The three city rows do not share one city tax.
