Jacob Harrell set a blacksmith shop on the north bank of Brushy Creek and the place was called Brushy Creek. Thomas Oatts, fishing with Harrell from an anvil-shaped limestone rock, supplied the later name when the post office wanted something else. The Chisholm Trail crossed that creek on the way to Kansas. Sixteen miles south sits downtown Austin. Interstate 35 is the modern road. None of those is a rate.
A blacksmith job, a trail-herd fee, and a shop on the interstate are three kinds of money if you still do any of them. The anvil explains the name. It is not a product unless you sell limestone, and almost nobody does. A herd you only pointed toward Kansas is not your revenue. A repair you finished at the creek bank can be.
Travis and Williamson can both touch a roof. The rock sat in Williamson in the usual telling. Name the roof. Do not borrow the Austin transit name because the commute runs south. This row is a flat amount from the state plus the local piece, with no transit authority pasted on from the capital.
