The city history puts League City on the south shore of Clear Lake, in the Galveston Bay area, inside the Houston metro. It names the Butler Ranch and Cattle Station on Clear Creek, and the Manned Spacecraft Center, later the Johnson Space Center, on the north shore. A north-shore employer is not a south-shore ticket.
League City is in Galveston County and Harris County. The census counted 114,392 people. Combined sales tax on the Comptroller city file is 8.25%. City tax is 2%. No transit authority is listed. No special-purpose district is listed. State tax 6.25% plus the named local pieces equals the combined 8.25%. County sales tax on the county file, not added on top of the combined city rate: Galveston none; Harris none. Business personal property rendition is due April 15 to the appraisal district for the county of the property (Galveston County or Harris County). Franchise (margin) tax report is due May 15. A no-tax-due threshold exists. Its dollar amount is not printed here. Texas has no personal income tax. The permit sets monthly, quarterly, or yearly sales-tax filing. The south shore of Clear Lake, inside the Galveston Bay stretch, is where this town sits. State Highway 3 and Interstate 45 run through. Akokisa, also called Orcoquiza, were on Clear Creek before the Anglo titles. Father Miguel Muldoon bought into the Austin colony tract. The Butler Ranch and Cattle Station handled passengers and mail on the south side of Clear Creek. The Humble tank farm went up in Webster, which is the next town, not this rate. The Manned Spacecraft Center, later the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center, was built on the north shore.
A south-shore gathering, a Webster tank charge, and a north-shore center vendor are three geographies. Only the south shore is this row. A guest who works on the north shore and pays you here is still this row. A bill whose saved place is Webster or Clear Lake City or Houston leaves.
Galveston and Harris can both touch a roof. Name the roof. Do not inherit Houston transit because the metro wraps this shore. The spacecraft center is an employer in the account. It is not a second local tax.
