Both checks can say the city. They are not the same sale.
San Antonio carries more than one name in its own history: Alamo City, Mission City, River City, Military City. Your file only needs two of those this week. A table on the river and a sale at a post are different money.
San Antonio is in Bexar County. The census counted 1,434,625 people. Combined sales tax on the Comptroller city file is 8.25%. City tax is 1.125%. Transit: San Antonio ATD 0.375% (0.38% to the hundredth); San Antonio MTA 0.5%. No special-purpose district is listed. State tax 6.25% plus the named local pieces equals the combined 8.25%. County sales tax on the county file, not added on top of the combined city rate: Bexar none. Business personal property rendition is due April 15 to the appraisal district for the county of the property (Bexar County). Franchise (margin) tax report is due May 15. A no-tax-due threshold exists. Its dollar amount is not printed here. Texas has no personal income tax. The permit sets monthly, quarterly, or yearly sales-tax filing. The city entry lists those four titles, then the posts and fields: Fort Sam Houston, Kelly, Brooks, Randolph, Lackland. It also describes the San Antonio River Walk as the restaurants and pedestrian paths along the river. You do not have to walk it. You have to stop treating a river check and a gate check as twins.
Choose one Thursday. Find a check from a table on the River Walk. Find another from a register that served people at a post. If the photo cut off the place, that check cannot tell you which Thursday you lived. A bare total still looks busy. It does not name the lane.

Military City is a name the entry says the city uses. It is not an account. Alamo and mission are the older map, not a third cash drawer, unless you actually sold something at those grounds. If you did, that is a third page, not a reason to blend the first two.
Guest names stay off the note. River or post stays on it. If one check names a different town, it leaves the pair. Same evening, wrong city, different buckets. The missions in the older map are not a third drawer unless you sold something on those grounds. Fort Sam Houston is the post the entry designates by that name. Kelly, Brooks, Randolph, and Lackland are the fields. A check from any one of those fields is a post check, not a river check, even when the cook works both.
Write river or post under the total. Do not blend Thursday into one lump because both totals looked busy. A later-night reservation is not this table. A meal for the crew is not a guest. Those wait. The pair is two guest charges that already happened, with the walk or the field still readable on the paper.
